Today, an expanded meeting was held at the Arab Sea Ports Corporation, chaired by Mr. Salem Salman Al-Wali, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, discussed the conditions of the Mukalla Port and ways of cooperation between the Ministry of Trade, Industry and the private sector, including merchants, investors and businessmen, and joint coordination between the Ministry and the Arab Sea Ports Corporation and the Hadramout Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

At the beginning of the meeting, Eng. Salim Ali Basamer Chairman of the Board of Directors of YASPC welcomed all attendees, , speaking about what the corporation has achieved in the past periods of supplying mechanisms and equipment with self-financing and the limited capacity of the wharves and yards, which caused the delay of ships Commercial and the need to develop and expand the current port and construct a future new port that meets the increasing activity, adding that the corporation seeks to partner with the private sector in some aspects of the corporation's investment.

Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, expressed his satisfaction at the commercial and industrial activity witnessed by the Hadhramaut Governorate, praising the vital role of Mukalla port in serving commercial and industrial traffic despite its limited capabilities, but it has become one of the important ports in the country, stressing the need to partner with the private sector as a partner Essential in the country and helps in achieving the real investment goals .


Omer Bajarsh Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hadramout Chamber of Commerce praised the great role provided by the Mukalla Port in the service of the Governorate and the country, noting to set up a mechanism for tankers of oil derivatives and the ships of containers and other materials in a way that is satisfactory to all as they carry derivatives and merchandise incurred by fines late delayers, and stressed the importance of expanding the port and preparing the Chamber of Commerce And Hadramout industry in the search for investors to develop the port in the case of studies, obligations and guarantees such as those provided by other ports.
